Welcome, we are going to be going over a crime of attempted murder known to the internet as thy “Slender man murders”. Now granted the young girl did survive the encounter which is grant and for the most part physically made a full recovery. What makes this story interesting is the two attackers motive. I first heard of this particular case on the news in 2014 then lost interest in, after watching a documentary about the so called Slender man stabbing it caught my attention again.
Upon listening to the pairs police interview and other research the girls are caulking up their crimes as a sacrifice to this Slender man character, a fictional character. And upon this planned and thought out attack they were both mentally ill says Anissa Weier and Morgan Geyser. According to the pair the tried to kill the victim to prove this fictional character this is real and prove their loyalty to become a one of his proxies/servant and then they would runaway from Waukesha, Wisconsin walk 334 miles to Nicolet National forest and live as Slender mans servants and live in his mansion, one of the two made a supplies list, according to Anissa during her police interview she said “Oh I forgot to tell you, I kinda sorta made a deal with Slenderman if we didn’t kill that he would or could kill our families and everything we love.” so by her own words she spoke with Slenderman himself? I’m not sure if that was to push the insanity deal and make herself look even crazier or if she genuinely believes that. I don’t buy it.
There is no way you can go through life carefree having no disciplinary issues in school , no problems at home, parents and teachers not even the slightest bit concerned about their mental health and well-being to suddenly wake up one day and decide to become a Joe Carroll like follower and kill for your leader ever so blindly. It doesn’t work like that, I think they knew what they were doing and wanted to kill their victim for one reason or another and found the insanity plea much easier than the truth. Metal health problems are real, Schizophrenia or Psychosis or even Schizoaffective disorder are all real mental problems that affect ones behavior and ultimately their lives. Which none of those one of the perpetrators displayed any signs of mental health problems, especially at the prime age of 12 and one of the girls had just turned 12 that month would be on the lower end of that spectrum. I am not saying that it can’t happen with someone else and what I am saying with these particular girls that is not the case. Typically woman with either disorder do not experience symptoms until mid to early 20’s, it’s worth mentioning that both Morgan and Weier were evaluated by mental health professionals and were later debunked their mental defective plea due to not being mentally defective themselves. Later on Weiers after receiving her sentence she tearfully addressed the family stating she “She never meant for this to happen and wishes Bella well and I’m sorry.” Your sorry? In their planning to kill their victim they not only made a supplies list, had conversations about the attack for four months, Morgan showed you the knife before the attack, Anissa convinced Morgan to give her one more day to live so you knew she was serious about going through with committing murder, scoped out locations that had a drain but originally wanted to stab her in her bedroom but ultimately decided to carry out the attack in the woods and left her there to die. During the actual stabbing the victim was stabbed 19 by Morgan while Anissa cheered her on while stabbing their victim 19 times aiming for major arteries to kill her faster. However after the attack was over Anissa began to panic.
This being the internet and all it’s glory Anissa has a support group saying she deserves a second chance, I’m sorry but I’d have to disagree. Granted it’s been said that Morgan was the ring leader but they talked about for four months, both of them, together. She may be only 12 years old but a 12 year old knows right from wrong and knows the consequences of their actions maybe not to the full extent but they do know if they stab someone and kill them that it’s wrong/will get arrested and that in the result of stabbing someone could or can end someones life. As of 2018 both girls were sentenced Geyser was hit with a 40 sentence in a mental health institution and is claiming to still here voices and Weier was charged with a 25 year sentence in a mental hospital.
